Excavation & Site Work services in Hazel Dell
Hazel Dell is an unincorporated community just north of Vancouver, built up mostly in the 1950s through the 1980s along Highway 99 and Hazel Dell Avenue. Many homes are single-story houses on modest lots with mature trees, older sewer and water lines and detached garages. The ground is largely sandy and gravelly sediment left by the ancient Missoula floods, which drains better than the clay to the north, though pockets of silt and clay hold water. Burnt Bridge Creek and its tributaries run nearby. Because so many homes are older, the work here is often replacement and upgrade: sewer lateral and water line trenching, removing old garages and slabs, footing digs for additions and accessory dwelling units, and drainage fixes for yards that pond in winter.

Permits and local rules
Because Hazel Dell is not a city, its building, grading and demolition permits come from Clark County. A Hazel Dell dig needs a Washington 811 ticket two full business days ahead, with the area marked in white. We sort out the county requirements for your lot first.
